Driver's licence & Additional driver:
Driver's licence: If your driver's licence is not in the Roman alphabet (i.e. if it is in Arabic, Greek, Cyrillic or Chinese) you are required to bring an International Driving Permit and your domestic licence. For driving licenses from countries not part of the international driving license treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license. When renting within the EU, customers who do not hold a driving licence issued by an EU/EEA country or Switzerland must also present an International Driving Permit along with their domestic licence. Driver's age
26 to 80 years.
Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to hire a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.
Travel Restrictions
The Renter must not use the vehicle outside the permitted area of use. If the renter takes the vehicle outside the permitted area of use their liability for any loss or damage will increase and any optional protection selected void.
You must never take the Vehicle:
(a) on any Unsealed Road;
(b) above the Snow Line;
(c) Off Road;
(d) between mainland Australia and Tasmania in either direction, or into or out of the Northern Territory or Western Australia.
Note that vehicles are permitted to be taken to: (i) Kangaroo Island;
(ii) Stradbroke Island;
(iii) Magnetic Island;
(iv) Bribie Island;
(v) Phillip Island; or (vi) Bruny Island,
Vehicles are not to be taken above the snow line in New South Wales and Victoria.
Excluded from the protection is driving on beaches or through streams, dams, rivers or flood water.
